General Surgical Pathologist – Full‑Time Academic Physician

About the role

The Ochsner LSU Health System in Monroe is seeking a full‑time General Surgical Pathologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The position involves delivering high‑quality diagnostic services, supporting clinical teams, and contributing to academic teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate surgical specimens with a focus on diagnostic accuracy.
• Provide consultative pathology services to clinicians within the institution and external partners.
• Integrate advanced diagnostic techniques to enhance diagnostic precision.
• Participate in teaching activities for medical students and pathology residents.

Required profile

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Eligible for Louisiana medical licensure.
• Eligible for academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
• Willingness to obtain visa sponsorship if required (J‑1, H‑1B, Conrad 30, Delta Regional Authority).
