General Manager & Head of Growth
AJAIA · New York
Job description
About the role
Ethos Intelligence, an AI learning platform for schools and education organizations, is moving from founder-led product development and pilots toward repeatable customer acquisition, implementation, adoption and growth. Ajaia, the technical partner behind Ethos, posts this role. The General Manager & Head of Growth reports to and works closely with the founders, owning the commercial and operating plan, including go-to-market execution, customer acquisition, implementation, customer success, marketing, growth strategy and company operating cadence.
Key responsibilities
- Own the operating cadence across commercial and customer-facing functions, run weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews, and coordinate with product and engineering leadership
- Own the growth plan across acquisition, activation, adoption, retention and expansion, build the go-to-market strategy, set pricing, packaging, pipeline discipline and growth KPIs, and develop acquisition and expansion motions across direct, partner and self-serve channels
- Set up and manage the sales operating system, including pipeline management, forecasting, CRM discipline and sales process, recruit and develop early sales talent, and improve conversion from interest to implementation
- Build scalable onboarding and implementation systems, create a customer success function that drives adoption, satisfaction, retention and expansion, and turn customer feedback into product improvements
- Lead the commercialization side of marketing, align brand, PR, content, campaigns and demand generation with growth goals, and help shape product positioning and category messaging
Required profile
- SaaS operator with significant leadership experience in growth, go-to-market, commercialization or general management, ideally in an early-stage or scaling software company, preferably in edtech or a trust-heavy environment
- Track record of building or scaling a repeatable growth engine, and experience leading across sales, customer success, implementation and marketing
- Ability to hire, manage and align cross-functional teams, and comfort working closely with founders in a fast-moving environment
- Willingness to travel regularly, initially to RDI/CSUSA corporate offices and school sites, then to new accounts, clients and conferences
- Strongly preferred: edtech or school-facing software experience, adoption-led growth experience, familiarity with charter networks, private schools and school systems, and experience preparing a company for investment, partnership or acquisition
What we offer
- Competitive compensation with base salary, performance-based incentives and potential equity participation
