Future Talent Program – Study Management Internship

About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a 12‑week internship within Merck's Research Labs Division, focusing on clinical trials planning, execution, and close‑out. You will join the Clinical Sciences and Study Management team to gain hands‑on experience in drug discovery and clinical study administration.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clinical trial teams with planning, execution, and close‑out activities.
• Track trial timelines and become proficient with project‑management tools.
• Participate in team meetings and complete virtual trainings on clinical trial processes.
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders such as study sites, vendors, and committees.

Required profile

• Full‑time student pursuing a BS/BA, MS or PhD in Pharmaceuticals, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, Biology or related fields.
• Strong interest in clinical trials administration and drug discovery.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate proactively with colleagues.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Analytical ability to review trends and create reports or presentations.
• Project management experience (e.g., meeting deadlines, using MS Project).
