Full‑Time Retail Merchandising Specialist

About the role

The Elite Retail Merchandising Specialist works as a dedicated BDS Representative, handling break‑fix, installation, and ad‑hoc maintenance of retail displays while also performing general merchandising tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Install, build, and maintain store displays, end caps, and fixturing, including security, cabling, wiring, monitors, and audio connectivity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve display issues, ensuring functionality and compliance with maintenance standards.
• Reset planograms, manage POP, pricing, and fact tags, and conduct in‑market training for other representatives.
• Travel up to 120 miles for multi‑rep projects, providing service within 48‑72 hours and reporting visit status accurately.
• Complete certification for Best Buy equipment and for training other BDS market reps.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience building displays, fixturing, and monitor cabling/connectivity.
• Ability to read schematics, use a personal smartphone/tablet with GPS, and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, auto insurance, and a basic toolkit.

Required skills

• Display installation and construction.
• Electronic troubleshooting (lights, buttons, computers, tablets, software reboots).
• Monitor and media player cabling and connectivity.
• Reading and interpreting schematics.
