About the role

Join a leading hospitality provider as a Food Service Worker in San Mateo. You will work full‑time, Monday through Friday, preparing and serving fresh meals in a fast‑paced café environment while earning $22 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• Transport pans, kettles, and trays safely between work stations, stove, and refrigerator.
• Store food following wrapping, dating, rotation, and safety standards.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils regularly.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Follow approved recipes to ensure proper quality, temperature, and portion control.
• Serve customers courteously and efficiently, handling concerns and escalating when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation, safety, inventory, and cash control procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Ability to work full‑time schedule, Monday‑Friday.
• Strong attention to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Friendly, customer‑focused attitude.
• Physical ability to lift and carry kitchen equipment safely.
