Full-Time Security Officer - Emergency Readiness

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Los Angeles, CA, to protect clients across a range of industries including commercial real estate. The officer monitors assigned areas, carries out routine patrols, keeps a visible presence to deter security incidents and delivers customer service to tenants, visitors and team members.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors and clients by following security procedures, site policies and, when needed, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations, escalating concerns according to protocol.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of common areas, access points, parking areas and the perimeter to spot and report unusual activity or maintenance issues.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and keep accurate records of activity, incidents and visitors.
• Communicate professionally with property management, building occupants and emergency responders.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of security-related experience; customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification and a guard card or license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed roles.
• Valid driver's license required only for driving positions.
• Background investigation and drug screen as conditions of employment.
