Lobby Ambassador

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Lobby Ambassador in Los Angeles, California. At $24.70 per hour, the role serves and safeguards clients across sectors such as commercial real estate, healthcare, education and government. The main duty is to deliver excellent customer service to tenants and guests and to carry out specific security duties so that entry and exit from the building are positive and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving.
• Carry out regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter; working conditions may vary by client site.
• Operate the access control system to verify guest registration, reason for visit and check and log identification.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees, tenants and guests entering the lobby.
• Greet and attend to employees, visitors and tenants as the face of the customer and of the company.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen, as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state and local laws and may be needed before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
