Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

About the role

Pavilion, a long-term care facility in Baxley, is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist in the direct daily care of residents. The CNA works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, helping residents with Activities of Daily Living and reporting changes in condition to the supervisor. The shift available is 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Key responsibilities

• Take and record resident vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure, as well as weight and height.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, hygiene, positioning, lifting and transport, and with bowel and bladder care.
• Provide range of motion exercises, help with ambulation, and change resident position every 2 hours.
• Empty urinary drainage bags, distribute trays and feed residents, and deliver snacks and supplements.
• Keep accurate intake/output records and maintain cleanliness of units and common areas.
• Handle linens according to infection control guidelines, keep residents dry, and ensure call lights are within reach.
• Report all changes in resident condition to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain supply inventory, clean instruments and equipment, and take call rotations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Current CNA certification in Georgia or obtained within 4 months of graduation.
• BLS certification; must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Previous CNA experience in a long-term care facility preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing; additional languages preferred.
