Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Join a small Agile subteam building a mission management tool for surveillance augmentation. You will contribute across the full stack, working on both modern React/TypeScript UI components and legacy Java/C++ interfaces, as well as backend services in Java, C++ and Rust.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front‑end features using React and TypeScript.
• Maintain and evolve legacy UI components written in Java and C++.
• Implement backend processing, business logic, and service APIs in Java, C++ and Rust.
• Collaborate with operators on military aircraft and ground stations, including occasional travel.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Comfortable working on Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with front‑end web development, preferably JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficiency in Java and/or C++.
• Experience creating HTTP or WebSocket service APIs.

Required skills

• React, TypeScript, Java, C++, Rust.
• Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Docker, Podman, Kubernetes.
• Git source control and CI pipeline tooling.
• Agile/Lean/Scrum methodologies.
• SQL databases and streaming/messaging technologies.
• Testing frameworks such as Karma, Jasmine, Jest, GoogleTest.
• Data visualization in GIS and low‑latency video in browsers.
