Frozen Foods Clerk

About the role

Hy-Vee is hiring a Frozen Foods Clerk for its store in Dubuque. The role provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service, rotates and replenishes merchandise, keeps the department clean and safe, and checks case temperatures. Night and weekend shifts are required.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers by name, escort them to products, load or unload heavy items and take customer orders by phone
• Rotate and replenish merchandise, build end-cap displays and keep labels facing customers
• Clean cases, sweep floors and keep the storage area organized and free of slip hazards
• Unload trucks, check in product, put it away and review invoices
• Order product and supplies, assist with inventory and price items as needed
• Follow department and company guidelines on hygiene, dress and punctuality

Required profile

• No education requirement; six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred
• Ability to solve practical problems, do arithmetic with fractions, decimals and percentages, and follow instructions
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently, with normal vision and color vision
• Exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dampness and moving equipment; fast-paced environment
