French World Language Teacher (Grades 9-12)

About the role

The Dallastown Area School District is seeking a dedicated French World Language Teacher for the high school (grades 9‑12) beginning in the 2026‑27 school year. The successful candidate will foster a safe, engaging classroom environment that promotes language proficiency, critical thinking, and cultural awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with district goals and state standards.
• Create lesson plans, instructional materials, and sequential assignments that challenge students.
• Assess student progress regularly and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including special‑needs students.
• Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student achievement.
• Encourage parental involvement and maintain clear communication with families.
• Collaborate with grade‑level teams, attend faculty meetings, and participate in school committees.
• Select and manage instructional resources, ensuring inventory is up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Teaching Certificate for French (PK‑12, code 4410).
• Dual certification in Spanish (PK‑12, code 4490) is highly preferred.
• Related teaching experience preferred.
• Willingness to be flexible with teaching assignments.
• Completion of all mandated pre‑employment documentation.
