Freelance US PR Consultant – MedTech & Healthcare Media Relations

About the role

We are a fast‑growing MedTech startup with teams in Berlin and Boston seeking a US‑based freelance PR consultant. You will support upcoming milestones, including FDA trial announcements, by managing press release distribution and proactive media outreach across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute press releases to relevant US media outlets.
• Leverage existing journalist and media relationships to pitch stories.
• Follow up with reporters and editors to secure coverage.
• Advise on optimal media targets, timing, and milestone‑based announcements.
• Support the planning and execution of PR campaigns tied to FDA trials, fundraising, and product launches.

Required profile

• Based in the United States.
• Strong connections across US media, especially in healthcare, MedTech, biotech, and startup sectors.
• Proven track record of successful media placements or campaigns.
• Ability to work independently on lean, milestone‑driven projects.
• Experience with FDA‑related announcements, healthcare innovation, or startup launches is a plus.
