Freelance Social Media Strategist (Film & Entertainment)

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Social Media Strategist to shape and execute a high‑level growth strategy for a film and entertainment brand. The consultant will focus on audience development, content planning, short‑form video, and paid social recommendations across Instagram, TikTok and other relevant platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an audience growth strategy for Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms.
• Advise on content pillars, themes and positioning to create a distinctive social brand.
• Recommend Reels and short‑form video tactics, including cadence and formats.
• Build and manage community engagement initiatives and creator/fan partnerships.
• Provide high‑level paid media recommendations (Meta Ads, TikTok, YouTube) aligned with brand growth.
• Define target audiences and suggest segmentation and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with the filmmaker and internal teams to align social strategy with broader brand objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in audience growth, social media strategy and paid media for entertainment, media or creator‑led brands.
• Strong understanding of community building and creator engagement.
• Ability to work independently as a freelance consultant while delivering strategic guidance.
• US‑based or deep knowledge of the US film and entertainment audience preferred.
