Forward Deployment Engineer – HL7 Integration

About the role

The Forward Deployment Engineer, HL7 Integration helps customers adopt DeepHealth’s Diagnostic Suite by designing and supporting integrations with clinical systems. This role blends HL7/DICOM engineering, radiology workflow expertise, and customer communication.

Key responsibilities

• Own integration solution design for assigned customers, mapping radiology order‑to‑result workflows to HL7 and DICOM interfaces.
• Lead technical discovery, configure and validate interfaces in Mirth Connect/NextGen Connect, and provide go‑live and hypercare support.
• Coach implementation teams, publish integration playbooks, and convert recurring needs into standard product capabilities.
• Drive AI adoption strategy for clinical data integration and support AI‑enabled workflows.
• Monitor HL7 service health, support site reliability, and manage escalation of engineering issues.

Required profile

• 8+ years of healthcare IT integration experience.
• 5+ years hands‑on HL7 v2.x interface design in radiology or imaging.
• Strong understanding of radiology order‑to‑result workflow and DICOM mapping.
• Experience working directly with customer IT and clinical stakeholders.

Required skills

• HL7 v2.x interface design and support
• Mirth Connect / NextGen Connect (or similar integration engine)
• DICOM workflow knowledge
• JavaScript for interface transformers
• SQL for data analysis
• FHIR R4 and IHE profiles (preferred)
• Imaging informatics credentials such as CIIP or PARCA (preferred)
