Forward Deployment Engineer – Viewer

About the role

The Forward Deployment Engineer, Viewer drives AI adoption for DeepHealth’s enterprise diagnostic Viewer, ensuring customers configure and use the product correctly. This individual contributor role works remotely, collaborating with product, engineering, and service teams to deliver smooth implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and configure the Viewer for customers, mapping clinical workflows to product settings.
• Lead technical discovery covering HL7/DICOM data flows, integrations, network and security requirements.
• Coach implementation teams and customer administrators, publishing standards and deployment playbooks.
• Serve as technical lead during go‑lives, hypercare and escalations, communicating status to clinical and IT stakeholders.
• Provide escalation support for Viewer issues, performing root‑cause analysis with engineering.
• Configure and support AI‑enabled imaging workflows as they are released.

Required profile

• 8+ years in healthcare IT, medical imaging or clinical systems.
• 5+ years in a customer‑facing technical role for PACS or enterprise imaging.
• Strong communication skills with radiologists, IT leaders and executives.
• Experience in regulated medical device environments and ITIL practices is a plus.

Required skills

• DICOM (SOP classes, tags, query/retrieve, presentation states, hanging protocols).
• HL7 v2 (ADT, ORM, ORU).
• Configuration and troubleshooting of diagnostic/enterprise imaging viewers.
• Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), networking and SSO/authentication.
• Microsoft Office.
