Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

The Forward Deployed Engineer joins ReadMe to own the end‑to‑end technical relationship with enterprise customers, guiding implementation, adoption, and growth. You will act as the primary technical contact, bridging sales, product, and engineering to ensure customers succeed with ReadMe’s developer hub platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of enterprise accounts, handling onboarding, adoption, renewals, and expansion.
• Participate in customer calls such as kickoffs, working sessions, QBRs, and escalations.
• Serve as the product subject‑matter expert, answering real‑time questions and debugging alongside customers.
• Implement technical solutions: review OpenAPI specs, configure CI/CD via ReadMe CLI or API, troubleshoot custom JS/CSS and authentication setups.
• Leverage AI tools to draft plans, analyze account health, automate repetitive tasks, and build AI‑assisted workflows.
• Identify growth opportunities and collaborate with Sales to close them.
• Advocate for customers internally, providing structured feedback to Product and Engineering.

Required profile

• Strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with customers and cross‑functional teams.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Technical aptitude to read OpenAPI specs, work with HTML/CSS/JS, understand SSO/auth flows, and use Git and a CLI comfortably.
• Experience using AI tools to improve workflow efficiency.
• Problem‑solver who prefers to find solutions rather than escalations.
