Food Service Worker – No Nights/Weekends

About the role

The Food Service Worker supports a small team in delivering healthy, made‑from‑scratch meals to school children. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, with no night or weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Portion and garnish meals according to Red Rabbit and NYS guidelines.
• Distribute meals to students with dignity, tracking quantities for compliance and waste reduction.
• Maintain a clean kitchen that exceeds Department of Health standards.
• Represent Red Rabbit’s values when interacting with school staff and students.

Required profile

• 1+ years of professional culinary experience in a fast‑paced environment (restaurant, commissary, school or hospital cafeteria).
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; Serve Safe certificate preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lb regularly and work Monday‑Friday, 7:00 AM‑3:30 PM.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, team‑oriented with a positive attitude.
