Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is hiring a Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of its food and beverage outlets. The role ensures high levels of customer satisfaction and quality service, supports the Assistant Outlet Manager and/or Manager by supervising staff, managing inventory and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and works closely with the Team Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Make inspection rounds for organization, cleanliness, proper maintenance and adequate supplies
• Monitor staff adherence to service standards, SOPs and Loews SOPs, including uniform and grooming standards
• Supervise guest service and respond to guest signals for service needs
• Help the Team Leader set up and track side work, run menu classes and taste panels, and conduct the month-end inventory count
• Maintain the bank according to SOP, keeping it balanced and secure
• Read daily communication sheets from the previous shift, prepare one for the next, check personnel call-offs and floor coverage, and communicate daily with the restaurant manager on special events and house counts
• Check the restaurant for cleanliness and setup, ensure proper handling of guest checks and cash, and report unsafe working conditions
• Fill in for Team Members when needed and perform other duties as assigned
• Follow emergency procedures, safety regulations, hotel policies and uniform/grooming standards, and attend hotel meetings and training

Required profile

• Food and beverage restaurant experience is required
• One to two years of lead or supervisor restaurant experience preferred
• Proven experience in high-volume food and beverage operations preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, spoken and written, with team members, leaders and guests
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as required

Required skills

• Liquor and beverage knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
• Strong organizational skills and excellent guest service skills
