Food and Beverage Supervisor II

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is hiring a Seasonal Supervisor II for its Food and Beverage department. The role supports the manager in the daily operations of the dining outlet, leads a guest-service-focused team and supervises staff of 50+. Hours vary with business demand and average 8-12 hours per day, including weekends, holidays, overtime and split shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Support the manager in daily operations by building a high-energy, guest-service-focused team and managing resources
• Monitor guest service and dining experience, and take action to meet service goals and satisfaction levels
• Demonstrate dining room standards and implement plans to improve service with measurable goals and benchmarks
• Collaborate with the chef to improve food expediting for breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Visit every table at least once during the guest experience
• Monitor and carry out opening and closing duties
• Communicate with staff, peers and superiors, run daily lineups, build morale, promote teamwork and train and coach new hires
• Ensure safety standards, company policies and work rules are followed
• Maintain impeccable facility standards

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required; college or related degree preferred
• Food service or lead host experience preferred
• Supervisory experience in the hospitality industry
• Ability to stay calm under pressure, multi-task, follow up and manage time and detail
• Knowledge of the Forbes 5-star and 5-diamond rating criteria and wine knowledge, service and presentation
• Must obtain a West Virginia Food Handler's Card
