Fire Sprinkler System Designer

About the role

Join Bayside Fire and Security as a Fire Sprinkler System Designer, where you will create code‑compliant sprinkler layouts that protect lives and property. You will work closely with engineers, procurement, and field crews to bring designs from the drawing board to real construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret architectural and engineering plans to define project scope and technical requirements.
• Develop efficient sprinkler system layouts in collaboration with engineers and stakeholders.
• Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings and hydraulic calculations for fabrication and installation.
• Prepare RFIs to resolve design questions quickly and keep projects on schedule.
• Coordinate with procurement and fabrication teams to ensure timely, accurate material orders.
• Provide remote support to field crews, reviewing progress and addressing technical challenges.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience designing fire sprinkler systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and a solid understanding of hydraulics.
• Strong analytical, communication, and customer‑service skills.
• NICET Level 2 certification in Fire Suppression – Water Based Systems, or willingness to obtain it.
