Fire Protection Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Fire Protection Specialist to coordinate, support, and actively participate in all matters related to fire detection and suppression systems for our Tennessee plant complex.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee execution of fire detection and suppression system projects, develop plans and schedules, and ensure timely, on‑budget completion.
• Visit construction sites to review designs, determine system requirements, and identify potential problems.
• Manage installation through regular site visits, resolve issues, and guide technicians.
• Provide advice to designers, builders, and construction personnel on fire prevention equipment and techniques.
• Review architectural and engineering documents for code and standard compliance and interface with authorities having jurisdiction for permitting and inspection.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with project managers, contractors, engineers, estimators, and installation technicians.
• Develop submittal packages, manage documentation, and identify change orders.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• At least 3 years of relevant fire protection experience (required).
• Good command of written and spoken English (required).

Required skills

• Knowledge of fire detection and suppression system design, installation, and maintenance.
• Understanding of codes, standards, and permitting processes for life‑safety systems.
• Project planning, scheduling, and budget management.
• Ability to review technical documents and provide compliance recommendations.
