Finance Manager – UHealth Finance

About the role

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) is seeking a full‑time Finance Manager to lead daily financial operations for its finance division. This role oversees accounting, budgeting, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury functions while ensuring compliance with governmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee budget preparation, monitor department performance against budget, and manage staffing benchmarks.
• Translate long‑range strategy into executable business cases and financial plans.
• Conduct economic evaluations of new programs and equipment, perform trend analyses, and develop spending strategies.
• Drive strategic direction and long‑term investment processes.
• Formulate monthly and annual financial statements and ensure timely filing of payroll tax returns.
• Establish and assess internal controls, providing training to staff on policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles.
• Ability to direct, manage, and evaluate department operations.
• Proven leadership, motivation, and training capabilities.
