Finance Manager – College of Arts & Sciences

About the role

The University of Miami’s College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a full‑time Finance Manager to support strategic financial planning, analysis, and operational oversight. The role provides data‑driven insights, develops financial models, and ensures budgetary alignment with institutional goals across the College and the Institute for the Advanced Study of the Americas.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the budget preparation process and monitor departmental performance against budget.
• Prepare and monitor staffing benchmarks and translate long‑range strategy into executable business cases.
• Conduct economic evaluations of new programs and equipment, perform trend analyses and volume projections.
• Evaluate spending trends, develop compliance strategies, and maintain internal controls.
• Partner across organizational boundaries to formulate monthly and annual financial statements.
• Lead financial planning and strategic analysis, including tuition planning models and cost‑benefit frameworks.
• Support creation and refinement of annual departmental budgets, monitor execution, and provide forecasts and recommendations.
• Extract, analyze, and visualize financial data for quarterly and annual reporting packages.
