Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technician

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home as a Field Service Professional, the front‑line expert who installs and maintains cutting‑edge smart home technology while helping customers upgrade to enhanced solutions for safety and convenience.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems in residential settings.
• Assess each home on‑site and recommend equipment upgrades or service enhancements, driving consultative sales.
• Educate homeowners on system operation to ensure confidence and peace of mind.
• Maintain company‑provided tools, tablet, and licensing while adhering to safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing coaching and leadership training to advance within the national organization.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with integrity and rapport‑building skills.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service‑based sales is a plus.
• Technical aptitude – background in cable/satellite installation, pest control, construction, or solar is helpful.
• Willingness to learn and grow; attitude prioritized over prior skill set.
