Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technician

About the role

Join the Smart Home team as a Field Service Professional, the face of Vivint delivering cutting‑edge home automation solutions. You will install, service, and educate customers on smart home technology while identifying opportunities to upgrade and enhance their systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation devices at customer residences.
• Assess homes on‑site and recommend additional equipment or service upgrades to meet customer needs.
• Provide hands‑on training to homeowners, ensuring they understand how to operate their new smart home system.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and sales activities.
• Collaborate with team leaders for ongoing coaching and career development.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport and act with integrity.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service‑based sales is a plus.
• Willingness to learn technical skills on the job; prior experience in related fields is beneficial.

Required skills

• Installation and troubleshooting of security cameras.
• Installation and configuration of smart locks.
• Setup of home automation systems.
• Experience with cable/satellite installation, pest control, construction, or solar installations (helpful but not mandatory).
