About the role

This Federal Work-Study position supports the Admissions Office at Southern Crescent Technical College in Griffin, GA. You will assist students, staff, and visitors while gaining valuable office experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet visitors, determine their needs, and provide appropriate information.
• Answer, screen, and route telephone calls courteously.
• Deliver accurate messages and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and orderly office environment.
• Perform administrative tasks such as typing, filing, ordering supplies, shredding documents, data entry, and processing mail.
• Follow supervisor directions, adhere to scheduled work hours, and observe break policies.
• Demonstrate a proactive, "can‑do" attitude and seek additional responsibilities.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Highly organized with strong verbal communication.
• Professional appearance and knowledge of proper phone etiquette.
• Enrolled as a student at the Griffin location, meeting financial need and Pell eligibility.
• High school diploma or GED and satisfactory academic progress.
