Nursing Instructor – Associate Degree

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Southern Crescent Technical College, seeks a qualified Nursing Instructor to teach associate‑degree nursing courses. This full‑time position blends classroom and clinical instruction, supporting the development of future registered nurses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans for accredited technical and occupational nursing courses.
• Evaluate student progress against curriculum objectives and provide feedback.
• Maintain classroom and clinical supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
• Ensure program certification and compliance with state and accrediting agency requirements.
• Prepare documentation and administrative reports for accreditation and licensing.
• Promote safety and security in training environments.
• Collaborate with students, staff, and other educators to enhance learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Master’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution (or a baccalaureate degree with documented progress toward a graduate degree).
• Current Georgia Registered Nurse license or eligibility for licensure.
• At least three years of professional nursing experience within the past seven years.
• Credentialed to perform all administrative and instructional functions required by accrediting bodies.
• Preferred: full‑time in‑field teaching or professional nursing experience in education, industry, or military settings and active participation in professional organizations.
