Family Practice Physician - OB

About the role

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center seeks a Family Practice Physician with obstetrics expertise to join its Family Medicine team in Libby. The physician will provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, supervise physician assistants, interns, and nursing students, and may cover pediatric and adult call.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive histories, physical exams, and diagnose acute and chronic non‑critical conditions.
• Order, interpret, and act on laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic tests.
• Document patient care promptly and create patient‑centered discharge plans.
• Provide wound care, apply splints, and repair simple and complex lacerations.
• Supervise physician assistants, interns, and nursing students rotating through the practice.
• Participate in departmental and community projects to enhance services.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited school and a valid MT Physician License.
• Minimum two years of experience in family practice, urgent care, or emergency department.
• Board certifications BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including daily shifts, weekend coverage, and meetings.

Required skills

• Suturing of simple and complex lacerations and wound management.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Clinical assessment and diagnostic interpretation skills.
