About the role
The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking a part‑time intern for the Fall 2026 term (August – December) to support its Economic Business Survey team. The intern will help the Richmond Fed gather and analyze data on regional business activity, contributing to the Bank’s understanding of the local economy.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct outreach to businesses via telephone and email to recruit them for the Business Survey panel.
- Engage existing panel members to encourage continued participation.
- Assist in designing and implementing marketing strategies to boost survey response rates.
- Track, analyze, and report on outreach efforts to improve campaign performance.
- Analyze survey participant data to identify response trends and enhance the database.
- Perform literature reviews on survey methodology and participate in related trainings.
Required profile
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Comfortable working both independently and within a team.
- Enthusiasm for business surveys and a customer‑service mindset.
- Willingness to work onsite at the Richmond Fed office.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
