Export & Agency Finance Analyst – LatAm Focus

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking an Analyst for its Export & Agency Finance (EAF) team in the US, focusing on Latin America and multilateral agency financings. The role provides exposure to complex cross‑border transactions and collaboration with clients, multilaterals, and internal teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Support origination, structuring and execution of EAF transactions, especially those backed by Latin American multilateral agencies such as IDB, IFC and CAF.
• Assist end‑to‑end on deals, from pitch preparation to closing, including presentations, term sheets and credit materials.
• Build and maintain financial models, cash‑flow analyses and profitability metrics.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Coverage, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Markets, Syndication) across multiple geographies.
• Support client relationship management by preparing pitchbooks and participating in client meetings.
• Contribute to credit approval, due diligence and transaction documentation.
• Monitor portfolio performance and stay updated on market, geopolitical and agency developments affecting the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in structured finance, export finance, project finance or corporate banking.
• Familiarity with export credit agency (ECA) or multilateral agency financing structures is preferred.
• Professional fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) is preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a cross‑border, multicultural environment.
