EVS Floor Care Evening Shift

About the role

Join Ochsner Health as an Environmental Services team member responsible for evening floor care in patient, clinical, public, and administrative areas. Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, you will perform cleaning projects and support activities to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain VCT and carpet floors according to Environmental Services standards.
• Keep Environmental Services closets and equipment clean, aseptic, and orderly.
• Assist with cleaning projects and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ensure attendance, punctuality, and appropriate personal appearance.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of VCT floor care and carpet floor care.
• Ability to read, write, and understand verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to perform medium work, including lifting and moving objects as described.

Required skills

• Experience operating environmental service equipment such as Automatic Scrubber, Battery Burnisher, Electrical Burnisher, All Purpose Matador, and Carpet Extractor.
• Basic housekeeping knowledge and use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
