About the role

ACCEL Schools is seeking a qualified ESL Teacher to join Cornerstone Academy in Westerville, Ohio. The teacher will deliver engaging English language instruction to a diverse K‑12 student body, supporting both academic achievement and social‑emotional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans, adapting instruction as needed throughout the year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
• Utilize research‑based best practices and integrate technology into daily instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social‑emotional growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and school‑wide initiatives.
• Participate in non‑instructional activities and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Active Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• Comfort working in a growth‑focused coaching environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise students in various settings and pass background checks.
• Experience in an urban school environment is preferred.
