ESE Secretary & Spanish ELL Tutor (Part‑Time)

About the role

This position combines administrative support for Village Oaks Elementary with bilingual tutoring for English Language Learners (ELL) in Spanish. The role is full‑time but split between a 0.50 FTE secretarial assignment and a 0.50 FTE tutoring assignment, beginning in the 2026/2027 school year.

Key responsibilities

• Provide secretarial services such as managing email, handling correspondence, and supporting school office operations.
• Assist students in reading, writing, and mathematics readiness as an ELL Spanish tutor.
• Present instructional information to parents, students, and staff in both English and Spanish.
• Maintain basic computer functions and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 1‑2 years of office experience.
• Two years of post‑secondary study or an Associate’s degree (or equivalent ParaPro assessment).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate simple instructions in English and Spanish.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds when needed.
