Equipment Operator – Heavy Machinery (Bourg, LA)

About the role

We are seeking a dependable Equipment Operator to join our waste‑management facility in Bourg, Louisiana. The successful candidate will safely operate heavy machinery to move, spread, and compact waste materials while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate bulldozers, compactors and loaders to handle waste material on a rotating 14‑day schedule.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain landfill cover and site grading to meet safety and environmental requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Communicate with team members to ensure efficient and safe landfill operations.

Required profile

• Willingness to work 14‑day rotating day and night shifts.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety practices and PPE usage.
• Mechanical aptitude; prior oilfield or waste‑handling experience is a plus.
