About the role
This internship supports the Engineering Test Lab in the design, development, and validation of orthopedic implants and instruments. You will work closely with engineers and designers to ensure compliance with medical device standards.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate the impact of revisions to technical standards on device compliance and create impact assessments.
- Lead and coordinate work assignments across cross‑functional teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide monthly updates to executive leadership.
- Assist the Engineering Test Lab with product development research and testing.
- Research and develop test methods for medical devices.
- Design and fabricate test fixtures.
- Perform testing activities.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program.
- Motivated to take initiative and work effectively in teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with computer‑aided design (CAD) software.
