Engineering Manager – Ad Serving

About the role

Roku is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Ad Serving Mediation team. You will own the technical strategy and execution of the platform that powers Roku’s advertising business, ensuring scalability, stability and performance at massive scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive a multi‑year technical roadmap across multiple engineering teams.
• Set the long‑term vision for the ad‑serving mediation platform and take end‑to‑end ownership of its scalability and reliability.
• Shape product direction by deeply understanding Roku’s advertising marketplace and monetization strategy.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow senior and staff‑level engineers, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Lead initiatives to improve developer productivity through tooling, workflow automation and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience designing and building large distributed systems.
• Proven track record leading high‑performing senior and staff‑level engineering teams in fast‑growth environments.
• Ability to act as a staff‑level technologist on complex, high‑impact projects.
