Employee Health & Benefits Strategic Pharmacy Consultant

About the role

Marsh Agency (MMA) is hiring an Employee Health & Benefits Strategic Pharmacy Consultant for its Southeast region, based in Alpharetta, Georgia. You will act as the primary pharmacy benefits consultant for the region's field offices and a book of clients, managing pharmacy benefit programs end to end. Applicants must live within driving distance of the Alpharetta office and be able to commute at least three days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client pharmacy market bids, RFPs, PBM vendor procurement and negotiations
• Analyse pharmacy data with PBM partners to find cost-saving opportunities and present findings to clients, prospects and internal teams
• Work with clinical pharmacists, actuarial, financial, analytics, health management and wellbeing teams on multi-year pharmacy and clinical strategies
• Co-lead training sessions for colleagues on clinical and pharmacy topics
• Build relationships with offices, producers, client teams and strategic partners
• Drive growth as the pharmacy benefits expert in new client pursuits, with the Regional Director of Pharmacy
• Mentor other consultants, support strategic partnerships and help manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy practice

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent career experience
• At least 8 years of direct experience in pharmacy, PBMs or related fields, including at least 5 years in sales operations or account management
• Deep knowledge of PBM contracts, clinical pharmacy or experience negotiating with pharmacy manufacturers
• Experience leading teams, managing projects and building strategic partnerships
• State Life and Health license required within 90 days of hire
• Willingness to travel, up to 25%
