Emergency Services Advanced Practitioner (Full Time)

About the role

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center seeks an Advanced Practitioner (PA‑C/FNP) to join its Emergency Department. The provider will evaluate patients with acute and chronic non‑critical conditions, establish diagnoses, and coordinate treatment and follow‑up care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive histories, physical exams, and document patient records accurately and promptly.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and radiology tests to establish diagnoses.
• Develop safe discharge plans, provide patient education, and communicate with primary care or consulting providers.
• Apply splints, perform wound care, and repair both simple and complex lacerations.
• Execute procedures and treatments with minimal guidance while adhering to Montana prescriptive authority statutes.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program with MT state licensure.
• Current DEA number and certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS (NRP preferred).
• Minimum two years of experience as a mid‑level provider in urgent care or emergency settings caring for all age groups.

Required skills

• Suturing of simple and complex lacerations.
• Wound management and care.
• Clinical assessment and diagnostic interpretation.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
