Embedded Software Engineer (all levels)

About the role

As an Embedded Software Engineer you will create, develop, and test software that drives and simulates flight systems. You will work closely with client engineers across software and hardware domains to ensure mission‑critical applications succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement reliable autonomous software systems and the simulations needed to validate them.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle from design and prototyping to integration and deployment for mission‑critical applications.
• Evaluate test outcomes, troubleshoot issues, and develop tools for virtualized, hardware‑in‑the‑loop, and vehicle‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on next‑generation hypersonic missile capabilities, including guidance algorithms and seeker image processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Open to candidates of any experience level, from early‑career engineers to senior contributors.
• Hands‑on technical work such as internships, research, open‑source contributions, or professional experience is considered.

Required skills

• Systems programming in C++, Python, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux‑based development environments, Bash scripting, and debugging tools (strace, ftrace, etc.).
• Familiarity with low‑level hardware interfaces or driver development (UART, I2C, etc.).
• Understanding of computer architecture, networking protocols (TCP/UDP), and real‑time embedded systems.
