ELSP Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

About the role

ABB is hiring an ELSP Machine Operator for its Mebane, NC facility, working onsite on the 2nd shift. The role reports to the Production Supervisor, LP Front Fabrication, and contributes to the EL Smart Power division. The operator converts raw materials or semi-finished parts into components or finished parts at the right time and with the required quality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate process equipment or machinery according to the operating manual, work schedule and production order instructions, following ABB standard processes and safety guidelines.
• Perform routine machinery set-up, adjustments and repair and fit simple replacement parts.
• Carry out regular standard maintenance, tool set-up, programming activities and troubleshooting, and report issues; keep detailed records of set-ups, repairs and maintenance.
• Track approved, defective units and final products.
• Report any non-compliance with agreed workflows.

Required profile

• Legal authorization to work in the US.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating in English, written and verbal.

Required skills

• Practical experience with applicable software.
