Paint Line Production Operator - 1st Shift

About the role

ABB is hiring a Paint Line Production Operator for the 1st shift at its Mebane, NC facility. The position reports to the Production Supervisor and is onsite. The work involves assembling semi-finished or final products, panels and systems, including packing where it is integrated with the production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products, systems and panels, including packing integrated with production lines
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and instructions for assembly
• Work manually or with light hand tools, and use machinery and equipment on the shop floor
• Carry out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process
• Follow standard operating procedures and maintain a clean work area

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to safely use a ladder and to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs
• Valid work authorization to work for ABB in the US

Required skills

• Use of tools such as tape measures, calipers, grinders and other hand tools as needed
• Reading and interpreting technical diagrams and instructions
