About the role
Prep Academy Tutors is seeking enthusiastic elementary school tutors to provide in‑home, in‑person instruction for K‑5 students following the Virginia curriculum. You will create personalized learning plans, deliver both remedial and enrichment support, and keep parents informed of progress.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver academic support aligned with Virginia standards.
- Design customized learning plans that emphasize understanding over memorization.
- Provide remedial assistance and enrichment challenges as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress.
Required profile
- Current, valid registration with the Virginia Department of Education or a qualified U.S. teacher (or teacher‑candidate).
- Passion for teaching elementary students and commitment to student success.
- Experience in elementary education, tutoring, or related instructional roles.
