Admissions Recruiter

About the role

The Admissions Recruiter supports Texas A&M University‑Victoria by identifying, recruiting, and increasing the enrollment of admitted and underrepresented students. This role involves mentoring, coordinating travel, and developing recruitment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute recruitment plans for assigned areas and schools.
• Coordinate with high school counselors to facilitate applications and track targeted students and parents.
• Advise prospective students on admissions policies, status, and programs.
• Conduct public speaking events on and off campus and maintain related records.
• Review applications, conduct third‑review assessments, and resolve appeals or complaints.
• Organize events, including logistics for accommodations, itineraries, meals, and speakers.
• Serve on office committees and coordinate major office programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of related recruitment or admissions experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications.
• Proficiency with database applications.
