Electronics Repair Technician

About the role

Avidyne seeks an Electronics Repair Technician to maintain and repair advanced avionics equipment for Part 23, 25, and 27 aircraft. The role ensures compliance with FAA regulations and supports the manufacturing department through detailed documentation and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems and components according to FAA regulations and company procedures.
• Perform set‑up, calibration, rework, and quality testing for components, sub‑assemblies, and final assemblies.
• Record defects, complete detailed repair and test records, and return units to production.
• Collaborate with Engineering and technical teams to implement modifications and improvements.
• Assist in training new hires and junior technicians.

Required profile

• Technical certification in electronics with at least three years of relevant repair experience.
• Ability to work overtime, prioritize multiple tasks, and maintain a positive outlook.
• Willingness to mentor others and operate safely in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, pulse generators, and logic analyzers.
• Experience tuning, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing analog and digital circuit boards to component level.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
• Knowledge of IPC‑610 soldering standards for surface‑mount and thru‑hole technologies (desirable).
