Electronics Disassembly Technician

About the role

AITrecycling is hiring a full-time Electronics Disassembly Technician in Columbus, Ohio (West Columbus, 3854 Fisher Rd). The job covers assessing and disassembling commercial, industrial and consumer electronics, sorting harvested components and handling finished product in the warehouse. The shift runs Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and no experience is necessary because training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Assess commercial, industrial and home-user electronics, including networking appliances, server equipment, industrial computers and retail-grade products.
• Disassemble electronics and sort harvested components.
• Break down electronic and computer equipment to remove components and sort raw materials.
• Palletize finished product for shipping and stage it for loading.
• Move raw materials to warehouse storage and maintain housekeeping.
• Check in received equipment according to company procedure and operate within SOPs.
• Perform quality control of company product and follow all safety procedures.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use and complete other general warehouse duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, with basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
• No experience necessary; training provided.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Clean background, willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.

Required skills

• Manual dexterity for operating machinery.
• Safe use of hand tools and basic power tools such as a hand drill and impact driver.
