Production Manager

About the role

The Customization Group is seeking a results‑driven Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations in its high‑volume Columbus facility. You will own production performance across multiple departments, ensuring safety, quality, productivity and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily production operations across several manufacturing departments, balancing staffing and equipment utilization.
• Lead production supervisors and hourly associates to meet safety, quality, productivity and on‑time shipment targets.
• Monitor KPIs such as Units Per Hour, throughput, labor cost, scrap, rework, downtime and SLA performance, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives, identify waste, standardize work processes and support new equipment implementation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Shipping, Planning, Warehouse, Quality and Customer Service to ensure seamless production flow.

Required profile

• At least five years of manufacturing leadership experience, including three years managing supervisors and production teams.
• Proven experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment with strong Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a data‑driven decision‑making approach.
• Willingness to work primarily first shift with flexibility for evenings, weekends and peak periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and production reporting systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with ERP, MES or Warehouse Management Systems (nice to have).
