Electrical Supervisor - Night Shift

About the role

McWane Ductile New Jersey, which manufactures water distribution and infrastructure products including iron ductile pipe, is hiring an Electrical Supervisor for the night shift in Phillipsburg. The supervisor directly supervises and coordinates the activities of electricians to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. Pay rate is between $85,000 and $105,000.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend and conduct safety and other training for night shift electrical department personnel.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of electricians.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations across departments.
• Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, product quality and efficiency.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, work orders and company policies and procedures.
• May be required to work any shift and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions, work under stress, prioritize in a multitask environment and read technical documents clearly.
• Experience with CMMS preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening and physical; drug and alcohol-free workplace.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting AC and DC circuits and medium voltage systems.
• Proficiency in AB ladder logic troubleshooting for CompactLogix and ControlLogix.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E regulations.
• Reading electrical schematics and single line diagrams.
• Computer literacy: Microsoft Windows, MS Office, word processing, email, databases and spreadsheets.
