Electrical Inside Sales Representative - Atlanta

About the role

The Specialty Trades Pro Sales Representative builds strong relationships with professional (Pro) customers and grows sales for assigned accounts, increasing market share. The role covers the full sales cycle of a specialty trade portfolio, from prospecting and pipeline management to closing sales and resolving issues. It is based in Atlanta and reports to the Pro Sales Representative Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Review sales calls with sales leadership, give account insights and sales plan opportunities, and take part in product knowledge and process improvement training
• Provide subject-matter guidance and technical trade training to the Pro Sales team
• Resolve order and delivery issues and customer challenges with the Pro Support team, and follow up on completed orders
• Prospect new and existing B2B customers through cold calling and outreach, source leads, close sales and achieve sales and gross margin targets
• Sell across adjacent trade categories and build long-term customer relationships

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree is preferred
• 4+ years of experience in a specialty trade industry such as plumbing, electrical, paint or HVAC, with product knowledge, installation, retail or inside sales experience
• Construction experience or sales within the construction industry is preferred
• Proven inside sales or telephone sales experience
• Ability to negotiate, handle complaints and resolve disputes with internal and external customers

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
• Experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM (preferred)
• Project management skills and strong written and verbal communication (preferred)
