Electrical Engineer – Power Distribution Design

About the role

Baisch Engineering is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to design and analyze site‑wide power distribution systems ranging from 15 kV to 120 V. You will work closely with senior engineers, clients, and interdisciplinary teams on a variety of industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to client sites for field measurements, equipment evaluation, and start‑up support.
• Lead small design projects or portions of larger projects.
• Develop construction drawing sets using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Apply BIM protocols to keep projects on the cutting edge of technology.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, successful projects.

Required profile

• Strong communicator able to interact with clients, contractors, vendors, and design staff.
• Self‑motivated, eager for unique design challenges in a fast‑changing industry.
• Commitment to quality, teamwork, and asking clarifying questions.

Required skills

• Power system analysis using SKM or EasyPower.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Understanding of BIM protocols.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and industry standards for heavy‑industrial and pulp‑and‑paper power distribution.
