Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will support DoD energy programs by providing technical expertise in medium‑voltage electric distribution and renewable energy integration within a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and assess medium‑voltage distribution and transmission systems for micro‑grid renewable energy projects.
• Perform utility condition assessments, validate installed infrastructure, and recommend improvements for reliable power delivery.
• Develop conceptual and detailed electrical designs using AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Lead client interactions, serve as primary point of contact, and ensure project delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters.
• Provide engineering, technical, and managerial direction for complex renewable‑energy projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum four years of experience with electrical distribution and renewable energy system development.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (or similar drawing package) for creating conceptual drawings.
• Electrical distribution system design and analysis.
